I have been creating unique gourd art pieces since 2005 when I took a workshop to create a memorial gourd piece for a friend who died from AIDS. Brad Martin's gourd piece is shown below, and this workshop inspired me to keep creating gourd pieces.
Gourds make great gift items for the person who has everything and appreciates one-of-a-kind art, and the hollowed out ones are lightweight/inexpensive to ship.
